Stourhead

Parts of Stourhead, including garden routes, are suitable for pushchairs. However, the landscape includes some steep, uneven and stony surfaces, so routes may not suit every pushchair. Check the official access information before your visit if you need a step-free or all-terrain route.

Dogs are welcome on short fixed leads in the garden.

Accessible toilets are available near Visitor Reception and in the Spread Eagle Courtyard. Designated accessible parking spaces are available close to the Access Hub, main car park and Spread Eagle car park.

Stourhead has mountain trike wheelchairs, Trampers and standard wheelchairs available to borrow. Advance booking is recommended to guarantee availability.

A stairclimber is also available for visitors who need wheelchair access to the house. This should be booked in advance.
