Stoke Bruerne Treasure Trail

"what are we doing today?"

The Stoke Bruerne Treasure Hunt is a great way to explore this attractive canal setting and village with all the family.

Can you find Sir Clarence Curmudgeonly’s hidden treasure? As you walk around the locks, tow path and village you have to find the answers to clues. Look around to find the answers on buildings, information boards, signs, statues and plaques.

The Trail takes about two and a half hours to complete and can be downloaded and printed at home, or ordered as a booklet to be posted to you, from the Treasure Trails website.

"i'm hungry"

When walking around the Stoke Bruene Trail there are a number of refreshment facilities along the route. There are two good pubs, a museum and cafe, restaurants and gift shops.

"i need a wee"

There are Public Toilets behind the museum.

"are we there yet?"

...got any top tips?

The Stoke Bruerne Treasure Trail is mostly on the level but there are one or two slight inclines in the village. The Trail is suitable for pushchairs, but the tow paths and through the nature reserve maybe slippery when muddy and wet, so wearing wellies or good walking boots is recommended. The nature reserve would be difficult to negotiate in a wheelchair, especially if the ground is muddy. It is possible though to complete the Trail without walking through the nature reserve.
