St Katharine Dock and the Tower Trail
The fun way to explore London!
The St Katharine Docks and the Tower Treasure Trail is one of over 25 brilliant family Trails in London, aimed at getting everyone out and about exploring.
Simply purchase a Trail booklet, then, at your leisure, begin your Trail. Follow the directions, hunt for clues, find hidden London treasures, learn facts and enjoy the sights as you work together to find the solution.
Treasure Trails offers a number of puzzle-themed walks all over London and the UK so you can have fun discovering the treasures all around us. You can work out the secret code in a spy mission, the hidden treasure map location, or find out whodunnit in a detective mystery-style adventure. Children will enjoy helping to look out for clues and those with reading and number skills can help solve the clues too. Great for working as a team!
This Trail is about 1.5 miles and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. It’s a circular walk so after visiting the pretty dock area, passing under Tower Bridge and following the riverside by the Tower of London you will finish back at Tower Hill station.

There are a number of family-friendly cafés, restaurants and shops along the route of the St Katharine Docks and the Tower Treasure Trail. There are also benches where you could enjoy a scenic London picnic.
There are public toilet facilities in the Tower of London area, we advise you to refer to the site maps at Tower Hill station for directions.
The St Katharine Docks and the Tower Treasure Trail starts and finishes at Tower Hill Tube Station (District and Circle lines). Almost all London Trails begin close to a mainline rail, London overground or London underground station.
Bring your camera on the St Katharine Docks and the Tower Treasure Trail as there are some great spots for taking photos of iconic London landmarks! There are cafés and shops en route and benches for scenic picnics. Please be aware that parts of this Trail are not accessible after dusk. Sections of this route use steps so the Trail is regrettably not suitable for wheelchairs, although many of our other London Trails are.
