Solar Heritage is a unique solar-powered boat for a trip on Chichester Harbour with a difference.

From the moment you get onboard you will experience a warm welcome from our crew.

This wide boat with seats for 50, has plenty of room for moving around (once we have left the mooring) and enjoying the views and wildlife. You never know you might be lucky enough to catch sight of a seal or a peregrine falcon!

Solar Heritage trips are either themed trips such Harbour Nature or Harbour Discovery from Itchenor. In the summer months join a general one hour cruise from the harbourside village of Emsworth. Or why not book the whole boat for yourself and your friends?

You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. Itchenor has a pub a few minutes walk from the departure point. Emsworth village has a good selection of cafes and pubs.

For Emsworth departures: 5 minute walk from Emsworth Square bus stop, 15 minutes from railway station. From Emsworth Square, walk down South Street towards the harbour.

Walk onto the seawall and about halfway round to the public jetty where the crew will meet you.

For Itchenor departures leave the A27 on the A286. Follow signs to Itchenor. Park in the pay & display car park then walk down towards the water and wait outside the Harbour Office for the crew.

Do dress up warmly as it is cool on the water even on the hottest days.
