Shipley Pool, as the district's "flagship" pool, hosts a huge range of swimming lessons and is the districts principal competition pool, having recently been recognised by the Amateur Swimming Association as a centre of world class diving excellence.

It has a 25m x 13m double shallow ended pool; diving pool with 2 high boards and 2 springboards; teaching pool; Changing Villages; spectator accommodation for all three pools; sauna and cafe with viewing area.

There is ramped access and a customer lift.
