Shap Swimming Pool

Shap at just under 1,000 ft is England's highest heated open air swimming pool! Their volunteer run 16 metre community pool is open daily from May to September, is 1.5 metres at the deep end and is heated to a comfortable 26 degrees.

Throughout the open season it's open for a few hours after school weekdays during term time and all afternoon weekends and school holidays, plus separate Adults only sessions. This means when you go with the kids there'll be no lane swimmers moaning about them splashing or making noise, everyone in there will be doing that with you!
