Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre
About Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre
Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre is a combined museum, theatre and workshop offering a great opportunity to see puppets and masks from around the world, plus a chance to make some of your own! There is also a library and multimedia room, a gallery, and a cafe to enjoy. The centre offers a regular programme of shows and events throughout the year, many of which are designed especially for kids and families. A number of excellent design workshops are available that offer a great opportunity to get hands on and creative! There is a permanent exhibition in the foyer and cafe areas that is definitely worth a look, with a regularly changing display of puppets and masks drawn from an extensive collection of items from around the world!
Birthday parties are available too and can be booked in conjunction with either a workshop or a show. The parties are suitable for kids aged 4 and older and include food and individual party bags for the kids. All you need to bring is the cake…and the kids!
