Rope Race Climbing and Activity Centre

What we do.
Here at Rope Race we run climbing session for all ability, from our regular Kids club and school holiday activities, Birthday parties and family climbing sessions.
We also have our own indoor archery ranges (over 8 years) so come down to Rope Race and enjoy the fun with our experienced child friendly instructors.
We are based in Marple just outside Stockport and in easy reach of Manchester City centre, Derbyshire and Cheshire.

Our Fat Badger cafe serves hot and cold food and snacks every day.

Treats
Rope Race merchandise can be bought on reception and a full range of outdoor clothing and equipment can be bought in our outdoor store.

Babies welcome
Babies' bottles and food can be warmed in the Fat Badger cafe.

Directions from M60 - clockwise Leave M60 at Junction 1 (pyramid), follow signs for A6 (Town Centre). Turn onto Wellington Road South; continue along A6 onto London Road. At traffic lights at the Rising Sun PH bear left (signposted Buxton). At the Horse Shoe Inn PH turn left onto Windlehurst Lane, continue onto Upper Hibbert Lane, Goyt Mill on the left. Directions from M60 – anti-clockwise Leave M60 at Junc 27; 1st exit onto A626, Entering Stockport, turn left onto Water Street, left onto Brewery Street, Left onto Marsland Street & right onto Gt Portwood Street. At the Gt Portwood Street roundabout take 2nd exit onto Gt Portwood Street A560. At traffic lights turn right onto Knightsbridge A560 (signposted Cheadle). At roundabout take 1st exit onto Heaton Lane (signposted Manchester A6). At traffic lights turn right onto the A6 (signposted Stepping Hill Hospital), continue along A6 onto London Road. At traffic lights at the Rising Sun PH bear left (signposted Buxton). At the Horse Shoe Inn PH turn left onto Windlehurst Lane, continue onto Upper Hibbert Lane, Goyt Mill on the left.
