RHS Garden Wisley

"what are we doing today?"

RHS Garden Wisley is full of fun whatever the season, and whether you want a quiet stroll or an energetic exploration, the garden has lots to offer.

The garden is excellent value - if parents or grandparents become RHS members, the whole family can enjoy free entry all year round.

On arrival, don't forget to pick up a family trail at the Garden Entrance. Each trail gives young visitors a list of plants and wildlife to spot, ideas of great places to explore and fun things to do in the garden.

There's plenty of space to run around - 240 acres in fact- and with richly planted borders, luscious rose gardens and of course, the state-of-the-art Glasshouse, the surroundings are simply stunning. Most events for families are free with garden entry.

"i'm hungry"

Eat out: There are two picnic areas, one in the Pinetum and one near the Fruit Mount. Visitors are welcome to picnic in the garden but please take your rubbish home.
Eat in: The Conservatory Cafe, The Glasshouse Cafe and the Orchard cafe offer a make-your-own lunchbox selection and large terraces for sitting outside in the sunshine.
The Conservatory Dining Room offers informal table service and a menu for younger diners.

healthy food

Visitors can 'Pack a Picnic' in the Conservatory Cafe to take out and about into the garden to dedicated picnic sites. Featuring healthy alternatives including freshly made sandwiches, crudites and fruit, the 'Pack a Picnic' option provides a choice to suit most dietary requirements.

"Can I have one of those?"

We encourage families to try gardening together at home. The Wisley Plant Centre has a wide range of children's tools, gloves, wellies and activity packs so your budding gardeners can grow their own sunflowers, sweetpeas, herbs, strawberries and much more.
The Wisley Shop also stocks a wide range of children's books, audio-stories, games and pocket-money toys.

"i need a wee"

There are mother and baby changing units located near the garden entrance and within the garden at the Conservatory Cafe, Glasshouse and at the top of the Model Gardens.
