Pottery Cafe
Pottery Cafe
At the Pottery Cafe you can decorate your own beautiful pottery, supplied exclusively by Emma Bridgewater, in our relaxed pottery studio where plenty of help is at hand.
We have a vast range of hand cut decorating sponges with everything from dinosaurs to flowers, ladybirds, stars and fairies, so there's no need to be an artist!
During the school holidays we run themed activities specifically aimed at children. We display examples of decorated pottery to inspire the children's creative side and we have theme specific decorating sponges available for use. The Pottery Cafe is an excellent venue for having fun with the kids on a bored afternoon in the school holidays! Please regularly look at our website for details of events.
Why not capture baby's tiny footprints on pottery as a personal memento or even a special gift for grandparents? You can visit us any day of the week but on Baby's Wednesdays every parent painting baby's footprints onto pottery receives a free tea or coffee.
Items start from as little as £5.95 plus a studio fee of £5.99 per person which covers materials, assistance in the studio, decorating sponges, as well as glazing and firing. Items are ready to collect within the week.
The Pottery Cafe also stocks the full Emma Bridgewater range in our shop and a selection of traditional, wooden and Fairtrade toys, an Aladdin's cave for children and adults alike! You can relax and enjoy a cup of freshly roasted coffee and delicious handmade cake whilst the children have fun decorating.
At the Pottery Cafe you can choose from a range of delicious coffees, teas, handmade cookies, cakes, plus a selection of smoothies and juices to enjoy whilst you are decorating.
The Pottery Cafe is also the home of The Little Toy Shop which sells a range of traditional, Fairtrade and wooden toys for younger children.
Customer toilet available and baby changing facilities.
We are very happy to provide boiling water for parents to warm milk bottles in.
We are located on the Northcote Road, between the Commons. Ten minutes walk from Clapham Junction. Bus route 319 and G1.
During school holidays and on Baby's Wednesdays it is advisable to book a decorating table at the Pottery Cafe as we get very busy. Check our website for current offers and events. High chairs and baby changing facilities available. Buggies and breastfeeding welcome. Fully disability accessible.
