Pot-tea Training

"what are we doing today?"

Pot-tea Training is a paint your own pottery studio in the heart of the town.

A great activity rain or shine. Vix and Emma offer a warm welcome to the very chilled and friendly studio pretty much all year round. Be it a mug or a money bank, a pot or a plate, everyone can create and make something great.

The numerous upsides to this activity include, therapeutic qualities, a great way to spend time sat around a table with your family, enjoying a fun and productive activity together, it raises self-esteem, it is a very forgiving medium and perhaps best of all, no talent is required to create something that looks great. You can literally do whatever you like as if drawing on paper but at the end, of course, you have something that you can eat your porridge off of or drink your tea out of. We are always on hand and happy to help you realise your design (we have a few tricks up our sleeves to make it easy for those of you who find their creative inner child has upped n legged it!).

Our studio is very much geared up for a relaxing visit with young families in mind. In our dedicated family room there are plenty of colouring and toys to occupy the younger speedy painters

"i'm hungry"

Po-tea Training is surrounded by good cafes and bakeries all selling coffee, cakes, snacks etc so refreshments are not far away. You are more than welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks in too

healthy food

They cook fresh and to order and you can enjoy a fry up or salad and jacket potato.

"Can I have one of those?"

We offer handmade pasties and scallop shells made on the premises. Great to paint as holiday souvenirs. We do sell gift vouchers and clay coins and soon we will be stocking take-home and paint kits.

"i need a wee"

There is a toilet on the mid landing and you are welcome to change babies. A toddler toilet seat is available.

and baby come too...

We do whatever we can to assist families with babies

"are we there yet?"

To find Pot-tea Training, come into Newquay on the A3058, following signs for the town centre and parking in one of the main car parks there. Manor Car park is closest. Newquay is one main shopping street partially pedestrian and partially roadway. Looking at the sea we are up the right-hand end of the main street. We are a few doors up from Argos and Blockbuster Video and a few doors down from the main Post Office. Look out for the flamingos!

...got any top tips?

Pot-tea Training is on the first floor and currently we do not have a stair-lift. Parents with buggies and prams can leave their 'wheels' in the buggy park under the stairs. There are high chairs and beanbags for babies and toddlers in the family studio room. Dogs are most welcome. We can post items home safely and getting a parcel is quite a lift for the kids when the holiday is over. If you are travelling a distance do phone the day before to ensure we are open.
