Port Lympne Wild Animal Park
Port Lympne: The Aspinall Wild Animal Experience, in Kent, houses over 500 rare and endangered animals across 400 acres of spectacular grounds, including Przewalski horses, Siberian tigers and the largest breeding herd of black rhino outside of Africa.
Port Lympne, with its sister park, Howletts, was set up by the late John Aspinall as a centre to protect and breed threatened species, with a view to returning them to the wild wherever possible.
A trip to Port Lympne is incomplete without embarking on the African Experience: A 100 acre guided safari truck adventure where visitors can discover animals such as wildebeest, giraffe, black rhino, ostrich, antelope and zebra roaming free together as if on the plains of Africa.
Visitors can also enjoy a 1920's mansion set in magnificent landscaped gardens, marvel at the world's largest Gorillarium, "The Palace of The Apes" or brave an array of creepy crawlies in the Discovery Zone.
There are picnic areas all around the park and tasty hot and cold dishes available in our Conservatory Restaurant.
Kiosks open in peak periods.
Vegetarian and healthy eating options are always available from the Conservatory Restaurant.
There's a whole range of souvenirs, ornaments, jewellery, adults & childs clothing, books and cuddly toys available from our gift shops.
There are toilets, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities located around the park.
Milk warming facilities are available in the Conservatory Restaurant.
