Petit Bot Bay
Petit Bot Bay
It's a tiny bay cut into ochre cliffs so it's sheltered nicely from the elements, and when the seas retreat it opens up into a much wider expanse of golden sand.
Swimming doesn't seem to be encouraged and there's no lifeguard cover or organised water sports.
It's more for exploring than traditional beach behaviour and boasts a waterfall, cliffs, and endless rockpools with woodland backing the beach.
Local facilities include toilets with disabled facilities, cafe, restaurant and first aid post, as well as free parking for 40 cars.
Dogs not permitted during summer.
If you've had fun on your family day out to Petit Bot Bay, tell us about it your visit, so other people will know it's a great place to go as well.
