Loads of great things for a family day out - including horse riding, dry ski slope, toboggan run, train ride, pitch and putt, adventure playground, picnic areas and walks.

We visited Pembray park numerous (10+) times over the years. It's a HUGE green site but considering what it has on offer, it is sufficiently off the beaten track to not get too busy to be enjoyable - so you can arrive late in the day and still get in. From memory there are: a dry-ski slope, a toboggan run, horse riding (all ages), a camp and caravan site (OK if that's what you're into), crazy golf (a must for my son), minature railway (ditto), kids adventure area (in case they aren't worn-out already), push-bike (hire or bring your own) trails through the trees and along the coast, free acts (eg clown/magician shows) next to one of the curios and snacks shop, a safe long very sandy sea beach with lifeguard cover and hosing-down facilities for use before the journey back in the car. On the beach there's enough space for kite flying and generally good winds.

Toilets are also available at the beach. There's lots of space to park on grass or hardstanding and many bring their own barbeques to have in the green areas away from the beach. Admission costs are by the carload (so take friends in a large car and make it even better value) and change between winter and summer. There are additional fees for particular rides and attractions within the park, but you do not get 'fleeced' by comparison with other venues. You can spend half a day, all day or a few days there and still make it worthwhile.
