Park View 4U Playing Fields
Park View 4U Playing Fields
Park View 4U playing fields are situated a few hundred yards inland from Lytham’s famous Windmill.
If you visit the park in the evenings and at weekends you are encouraged to use the free car park on the Ballam Rd entrance to the Park.
This park has something for everyone with lots of free space to run around, play football or fly your kites.
The play equipment is imaginative and challenging with something for everyone, even the grandparents.
The toddler play area uses equipment to stimulate children’s imagination. The teen zone is challenging for the older ones, especially teenage girls, with the balancing and motion equipment. For the more energetic there is a large bmx track which is suitable for all from beginners to experts. The skate park is well thought out and attracts boards, bikers, and scooters. There is a trim trail as well as equipment designed for senior citizens, so whatever you age there is no excuse to play and exercise.
For the less energetic why not take a walk through Wishing Well Wood, a woodland area with woodcarvings and other surprises.
At present there are portable toilets onsite, however a cafe and community room is currently being built. The new building will house toilets and will be completely family friendly and accessible for all. From the new centre a series of new programs will be delivered, anything from bat walks to jam making.
Also new for this year will be an amphitheatre and new landscaping.
From the A584 (the promenade rd from Blackpool) take the B5259 at Lytham Windmill (Station Rd ) Park View Playing Fields are directly over the bridge. Continue past the park turning left into Ballam Rd. The car Park is the 2nd turning on the left.
The park is fully accessible, you may want to bring a picnic rug and warm clothing as you may be there a while!!
