Palace Stables Heritage Centre
The 18th Century Stables of the Palace Demesne have been restored to form a heritage centre that offers the visitor the opportunity to relive the hustle and bustle of life here in the year 1786.
Dressed in costume, professional guides will lead you around the 18th century estate in a unique tour that will give you an insight into the workings of the former palace of the Archbishop of Armagh’s. You will visit some of the estate's most historic buildings such as the Georgian Kitchen and walled garden; the Primate's Chapel; the Ice house; the Servant's tunnel and the Archbishop's Palace.
You can also visit a Victorian schoolroom and walk in the Garden of the Senses. There walking trails, including an Eco trail through the 90 acres of the original Demesne. The centre has a gift shop, a picnic area and other visitor and educational facilities.
