Painshill Park
Painshill Park is a rival to any in the country if not the world in terms of artistic inspiration and serenity.
Painter, craftsman and brilliant gifted and imaginative designer, Hon.
Charles Hamilton dedicated his creative genius to the layout and composition of a landscape garden unique in Europe.
Herons and Egyptian Geese are by the lake, Kingfishers live around the river banks, Blue Tits and Robins are in the woods. There are many more types of wildlife all around the park. Observe fabulous fish: carp, roach, pike and other amazing fish are swimming in the lake.
Amazing mini-beasts live in the lake and woods: pretty dragonflies, scary water scorpions, surprising butterflies and all sorts of funny bugs.
If you really look you will see squirrels and rabbits, and in the early morning maybe a deer trying to hide. Look for tracks and other animal signs like eaten nuts and cones.
Also our active, fun filled parties are perfect for 4 to 12 year olds. Hike through the woods to camp build, treasure hunt or solve an 18th century crime. There's more to choose from and they are available all year round.
Painshill Park has a Tea Room where we serve light hot and cold snacks, nourishing soups, sandwiches and a selection of cakes, ice creams as well as fresh fruit. We also provide a simple menu selection for children including our freshly made lunch boxes.
The Tearoom staff will endeavour to accommodate any special dietary requirements.
The Painshill Park gift shop offers a variety of seasonal good value and unusual gifts suitable for all the family. We offer party bags for all price points and always stock a good range of pocket money items ideal for children of all ages.
We have separate male and female toilets at the Visitor Centre and in the Gothic Tower. There are disabled toilets as well as Unisex Baby changing in the Visitor Centre.
We can provide milk-warming facilities, although we do not sell baby food.
