Beginning with the Big Bang, children and adults alike can witness the creation of Earth, follow the planet through its evolution and even catch glimpses of its future.

Our Dynamic Earth hosts a number of exclusives, being the only Scottish centre to show the wonderful Astronaut, 360 degree dome film, narrated by Ewan McGregor and also being the only Scottish centre to offer a 4D film experience,4DVENTURE.

Yes we have our own Food Chain Cafe on site, offering a range of hot and cold meals, drinks, & snacks perfect for famished explorers. We have seating areas both indoors and outdoors.

We have healthy eating options available offering a selection of freshly made sandwiches, homemade soup, fruit, yoghurts, and baked potatoes

We have the facilities to warm up baby food, a milk bottle warmer and a microwave. However we do not sell baby food.

We are located in the city centre of Edinburgh, on Holyrood Road neighbouring the Scottish Parliament, Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Holyrood Park. Additionally we are a stop on three of the Edinburgh Bus Tour routes.

We have our own dedicated children's play area where you can create a commotion in the ocean, go hunting for pirates and beat the octopus in our interactive games so be sure to make this a stop on your adventure. We have specially created kids lunch boxes in our cafe. We are a buggy friendly attraction with access throughout. We would recommend you purchasing a child friendly audio guide for children aged 7+ so they can get even more out of their visit to Dynamic Earth.
