Nothe Fort
Nothe Fort
You don’t have to be a military enthusiast to enjoy Nothe Fort, it’s a great day out for all the family with lots to see and explore, so why not come and spend a day with them, you won’t regret it, but beware: the fort is supposedly haunted!
The Fort Artillery in their splendid artillery uniforms amaze the Fort’s visitors with their musketry and cannon firing skills on alternate Sundays throughout the year and on occasions when the Fort holds special events.
There are no lower age limits to becoming a Nothe Fort Artillery Volunteer, however the use of guns and the firing of the cannon is restricted to older members who have received full training in the safe use of the weapons.
If you've had fun on your family day out to Nothe Fort, tell us about it your visit, so other people will know it's a great place to go as well.
