Nene Valley Railway

The Nene Valley Railway's Thomas is considered the 'official' Thomas The Tank Engine, because it was named by the fictional characters creator the Rev.

W. Awdry in 1971. For this (and other) reasons, the Nene Valley Railway does not host official 'Days out with Thomas' events like most railways do. The Nene Valley Railway run Thomas at various special events, weekends and bank holidays.

We do strongly suggest you ring Nene Valley Railway before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
