Nelson's Column

"what are we doing today?"

raised in 1843 and now one of London`s best-loved monuments, commemorates the one-armed, one-eyed admiral who defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

Last time we checked you could still buy bird food and feed the pidgeons in the square, right on the square is the National Galery which is well worth a visit.

"are we there yet?"

Nearest station Charing Cross - or a short walk up from Leicester Square
