National Botanic Garden of Wales - Join the Wild Bunch – and help the National Botanic Garden of Wales look after some of the rarest plants in our country and the world! You’ll get an exclusive member’s card, newsletters packed with information and practical ideas aimed at helping to make the environment a better place.

As well as our exclusive members’ club, there is pond dipping, the adventure zone, land train, bee garden, mini farm, discovery centre, gift shop, fountains, fun and frolics in more than 500 acres.

Seasons Restaurant, Med Café (in the Great Glasshouse), café in the ‘plant sales’ area next to the entrance/exit. Also ice cream parlour and picnic areas.

Daily/seasonal changes to restaurant menu, always vegetarian option

Everything from exclusive Welsh-made jewellery to fridge magnets including books, calendars, clothing – and the Garden’s very own honey from its very own bees

Toilets (inc disabled) at Gatehouse, Great Glasshouse and Millennium Square. Baby changing available

"are we there yet?"

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is clearly signposted (with large ‘brown’ signs) from the nearby A48 dual-carriageway which links with the M4, Cardiff, Severn Bridge, Bristol and beyond. It is under an hour from Cardiff and 10 miles from Carmarthen

...got any top tips?

Many of the attractions are under cover and nearly all are accessible to wheelchair users. Bring plenty of puff and be warned: you may not have time to see it all in a single day!
