About Museum of Witchcraft
Museum of Witchcraft, which can be found by the harbour in Boscastle, is amongst Cornwall's most popular museums, and houses the largest collection of witchcraft related artefacts and regalia in the world! There's even a place to park your broomstick outside!
Take an informative tour of the museum - read all about sacred sites, herbs and healing, magic in wartime, protection magic, fortune telling, and loads more. You can also find out about modern witches and the different festivals that they celebrate throughout the year. See how witches and magical subjects have been portrayed by various artists, and discover the story of characters such as Mother Shipton (an English soothsayer and prophetess), and Joan Wytte.
Fan of spooky? For those who like all things scary, there are plenty of interesting items to examine, including a scold's bridle, wax representations of human intestines, mandrakes, a skull from Egypt, a ‘Weejee Board' (Ouija board), and glass spirit bottles! This is a unique opportunity to find out all about the beliefs and practices of witches throughout the ages.
