Muncaster is also home to the prestigious Hawk and Owl Centre with 2 breathtaking daily flying displays (main season only) and you can also watch wild herons come in for food!

We do strongly suggest you contact Muncaster Castle before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
2016 Opening times:
Gardens, Maze and Owl Centre open daily 10.30am to 5pm.
Castle open Sunday through Friday 12 noon to 4.30pm plus Saturday of bank holiday weekends.

Came from Ambleside and it was a hard drive. The kids liked the birds of prey show. The castle less so. Lovely gardens. At the cafe had some really good food. Free parking but its a long walk to the castle grounds The half sized railway is 5 mins away.
