Montacute TV Radio Toy Museum
Like a Tardis, Montacute TV Radio Toy Museum opens up to display what is probably the largest collection of toys, books, annuals and games related to TV and radio programmes. Whatever your age you will find something from your favourite programmes. From the earliest childrens programmes such as Muffin the Mule, through classics such as Gerry Andersons Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet, Magic Roundabout, Telly Tubbies and Noddy etc. Soaps, such as Coronation Street and East Enders. Parents and grandparents will remember westerns such as Bonanza and Wagon Train and more… Plus everyone can relate to the Superhero and SciFI exhibition!
Alan has also collected thousands of items of memorabilia, and over 500 radios, from vintage wirelesses to colourful novelty transistors, radiogrammes and televisions.
Programmes are brought to life through scenes and displays including: a radio shop; Dr Who with Tardis and life size Dalek; a human size Homer Simpson and more: something for the whole family!
