Milestones - Living History Museum

"what are we doing today?"

Imagine an open-air museum inside a massive modern building… a network of streets with shops, a village green and even a pub... dating from Victorian times and the 1930s… it's fun... a surprise around every corner!

Visitor Reviews

The museum is very impressive, as you enter it from the top of the stairs and you get a great view over looking all the rooftops of the ‘buildings’. It is housed in a large spacious building, and all the ‘streets’ that you stroll down, look very authentic. There is also a chance to dress up, and attend a Victorian school and use a pencil and slate! There is an Edwardian style pub, where you can buy a drink and sit down, as well as a 1940’s style sweet shop, where you can actually purchase sweets using your ration book!! (Purchased earlier upon entry). The museum is very informative, with plenty to look at. It has a very good layout, and is very much recommended for a great day out – for all ages.
