"what are we doing today?"

A visit to Marwell Wildlife is a chance to get close to the wonders of the natural world - and play a big part in helping save them.

From ring-tailed coatis to poison arrow frogs, bird eating spiders to Amur leopards, bat-eared foxes to meerkats and giraffes - Our 140 acre zoological park is home to over 200 exotic and charismatic species, in beautiful, landscaped surroundings. Be as active or as relaxed as you want. There are three play areas where children can run wild while you take a well-earned break.

Enjoy spectacular views of our African Valley, while you eat and drink at Cafe Graze, or its attached picnic area. There's also a free road train to help you get around.

Best of all, you can combine an unforgettable day out with a chance to learn all about the natural world and the challenges it faces.

See giraffe, zebra, waterbuck and ostrich roaming wild in our African Valley. Discover the secrets of the rainforest in Tropical World. Marvel at wallabies and kookaburra on the Australian Bush Walk. Dive beneath the surface with the underwater views in Penguin World. Experience the wonders of South East Asia with our new home for Siamang gibbons.

"i'm hungry"

You can enjoy a wide variety of delicious hot meals, all freshly prepared with only the finest local ingredients in our new cafe. In addition to cafe graze, snacks are availble from outlets around the park as well from vending machines. Relax with your own picnic at any of the idyllic spots around the park, or escape to one of our two sheltered areas should the clouds roll in. New coffee shop now open in the Ark Gift Shop just inside the park - pick up a hot drink and snack on your way in.

healthy food

Please ask our catering staff for special dietary requirements - vegetarian and gluten free options are available. Fair Trade organic tea and coffee. Cafe Graze menu is available to download from our website. All produce is sourced locally where possible. Salad and fruit is available all year round.

"Can I have one of those?"

Marwell's Gift Shop offers a wide range of products from animal themed clothing and cuddly soft toys, to jewellery, cards and fair trade gifts. a new range of Marwell Wildlife branded gifts and souvenirs is now available. See more on the website.

"i need a wee"

A "Changing Places" toilet facility is available as are Baby changing facilities throughout the park. Toilet facilities are available in 5 locations around the park.

and baby come too...

Entry to the park is FREE for under 3 year olds. Organic baby food is available. Catering outlets have microwave facilities for heating milk. You'll find baby changing facilities in all our toilets, including Cafe Graze, where you'll also find baby food and a microwave to heat it up. The park is pushchair friendly and a lovely place for babies to get closer to nature.

"are we there yet?"

To get to Marwell: Easily accessible from M3 and M27. Situated on B2177. Brown and white tourist signs from all major routes (labelled Marwell Zoological Park). Large FREE car park. Public transport available from Eastleigh during school holidays and on Saturdays and Sundays from May to September. Nearest railway station is Eastleigh.

...got any top tips?

Marwell is a mainly outdoor attraction so come prepared for the weather - sunhats recommended on hot days or bring a mac or brolly. Sturdy shoes are best. Buggy and wheelchair friendly. Also don't miss: African Valley - a 20 acre field hosting 4 species including giraffe, Grevy's zebra and ostrich, our new soft play area in the shop, a fascinating exhibition of animal skeletons in our Science & Learning Centre and our Formal Garden just behind historic Marwell Hall in the centre of the park.
