Magna Science Adventure Centre

Power your imagination at Magna the UK's first Science Adventure Centre set in the old Templeborough steelworks.

Explore the four elements of earth, air, fire and water and have fun firing giant water canons, board an airship, spin in a gyroscopic chair, explode a rock face and work a real JCB. Two multimedia shows bring the building to life; the 100 foot high Face of Steel is the largest multimedia display in the UK.
The Big Melt is Magna's most breath taking display, recreating a working Arc furnace using pyrotechnics and sound effects.

The fun continues outside in 'Sci-Tek' Europe's largest hi-tech playground and 'Aqua-Tek' the UK's largest outdoor water play area.

Magna offers a wide range of fun hands on activities, workshops and events all year round such as badge making workshops, mini beasts workshops, teddy bears' picnics and family fun days.

Steel tours are available throughout the day, for those who want to learn about the heritage of the building.

Restaurant open all major school holidays and weekends. Cafe open all day, every day, serving main meals, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Snacks available from the shop. Outdoor refreshment hut (open Summer months only) Designated picnic area for those bringing their own lunch.

In winter wrap up warm as Magna is a coats on experience. In summer bring a change of clothes in Aqua-Tek you will get very, very wet. Buggy and wheelchair friendly. The restaurant is only open during weekends and school holidays but refreshments are still available from the caf‚¯‚¿‚½.
