About Logie Estate
Logie Estate, is set in the beautiful Findhorn Valley near the town of Forres, which is renowned for its spectacular gorge scenery through which the river runs. The beautiful gardens of Logie House, stunning riverside walks, and the children's playground are open throughout the year, making it a great spot for a family day out.
The River Findhorn Heritage Centre is full of interesting information and is divided into 3 parts. The first is about the river itself and is based around a mural showing changes in terrain, plus there are plenty of details about unusual geological formations in the area. The second explores the legends of Randolph's Leap, and the Wolf of Badenoch, and the final section is a model house with furniture from local crofts.
The river walks offer a great variety of scenery to enjoy, with some beautiful views along the river valley. This is also a great place to bring the family pooch, as they are even welcome in the house gardens if kept on a lead. Please be aware that some of the paths can be high above the river with steep drops and unfenced sides in many places.
Also on site are a farm shop and gift shop as well as other facilities. Visit the website for more details and information.
