Log Heights

"what are we doing today?"

Regardless of your age or fitness level, our ropes course activities are designed to challenge everyone.

You could be jumping into the sky to catch a trapeze one minute and problem solving closer to the ground the next. Whichever activities you choose, with the help of our expert technicians and with the support of your friends or colleagues, we promise you'll be amazed by what you can achieve – and have fun! You can find us in the grounds of Ripley Castle in the picturesque estate village of Ripley near Harrogate. Why not combine a trip to Log Heights with a visit to the Castle, or perhaps lunch in the garden at the Boar's Head Hotel? Corporate groups may like to take advantage of the excellent conference and dining facilities available on site at the Castle.

"i'm hungry"

While Log Heights does not have a cafe, people are welcome to bring a drink or snack with them (as a technician stays with each group that comes to the ropes course, people are welcome to take a break at any time). Alternatively, Ripley village has a tearooms, ice cream shop and hotel/bistro.

"Can I have one of those?"

Log Heights does not have a souvenir shop but you might like to visit the Ripley Castle gift shop where you can find a momento of your visit. The selection includes cards, soft toys and books.

"i need a wee"

A very basic toilet is provided on the ropes course. However, families might prefer to use the Castle's toilet facilities by the shop which include disabled and baby changing facilities.

and baby come too...

Milk-warming facilities are available at the Castle Tearooms which is a short walk from the ropes course. A special children's menu is also available.

"are we there yet?"

Log Heights is easy to find! From South: M1 to Leeds > A61 to Harrogate > A61 to Ripley From North: A1 to Ripon > A61 to Ripley From East: A59 to Knaresborough > B6165 to Ripley From West: M62 to Leeds > A61 to Harrogate > A61 to Ripley There is a large free car park in Ripley village. The number 36 bus which travels from Leeds to Ripon via Harrogate stops in the centre of Ripley.

...got any top tips?

When you come to Log Heights, we suggest wearing comfy clothes and walking boots or trainers (no high heels please!). Remember to dress up warmly if the weather's cold (layers are great!) and bring some gloves. The ropes course is set in mature woodland and, as such, the ground is uneven in places and can get muddy. We are very happy to discuss access with people at the time of booking and have welcomed many people with disabilities to the ropes course in the past.
