Lincoln Castle

"what are we doing today?"

Lincoln Castle was built in 1068 by William the Conqueror.

There are three towers to climb, 12th century wall walks, and a prison to explore. There are also beautiful grounds in which to enjoy picnics.

We have a full events programme throughout the Summer featuring Summer Fun (Tuesdays and Thursdays during August – activities and fun for ages 3-11) and the ever popular annual jousting contest! Free guided tours take place twice a day during the summer.

Turn off the A46 Lincoln Bypass, towards North Lincoln, then follow the signs towards the historic area, where Lincoln Castle is situated, opposite Lincoln Cathedral. Car parks are signposted. Trains and buses arrive in the centre of Lincoln, where a shuttle bus may be taken to Lincoln Castle.

...got any top tips?

The grounds are buggy friendly, but we provide a lockable buggy park if needed, as some stairs are a bit steep and uneven.
