Take a walk on the wild side and visit our Dinosaur Trail with 72 life-size dinosaurs, set grazing (or hunting!) amongst the redwoods and rhododendrons of the 7 acre Wilderness Garden.

The trail path is accessible for individuals, wheelchairs and pushchairs, and suitable for all ages. Geographical maps and information boards are displayed along the self-guided walk.

Discover and learn more about the enormous T-Rex, see the long-necked water creatures fighting in the Victorian steams, and try to imagine a Woolly Mammoth or Sabre-tooth Tiger trying to escape from a sticky tar pit.

There is a large selection of dinosaur gifts available in the gift shop. Knebworth country park is home to ‘Fort Knebworth’ Adventure Playground. This popular outdoor facility continues to give hours of pleasure for children from 4 to 15.

Picnic tables, toilets and a refreshment kiosk offering hot and cold drinks, ice creams and light snacks, are close by. As is the miniature railway – a ride on the train, which is suitable for all ages, is included in your entry ticket.

Knebworth House has a schools’ education programme which includes self-guided trails and “hands-on” activity days, further information is available on request.

The Garden Terrace Room operates a self-service facility, offering a selection of hot meals, salads, sandwiches, children’s lunch boxes, cakes and cream teas.

The Park Gift Shop stocks a full range of Knebworth souvenirs, dinosaur and general gifts and plants.

Wheelchair accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are located at the entrance to the Gardens, in the House, Garden Terrace Room and at the Adventure Playground.
