About

Come to the heart of the action and explore your industrial past at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums.

There are 10

award winning Museums spread along the valley beside the wild River Severn. See the products that set industry on its path and the machines that made them. Watch and talk to the Museums’ craftsmen and costumed demonstrators.

The list to choose from includes Blists Hill Victorian Town, which recreates the experience of a century ago, and Enginuity which is quite the other end of the timeline with robotics and cool science. You can also see displays and deomnstrations at the Coalport CHina, and experience British tiling at it's best in the Jackfield Tile Museum. THe Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron and Brosley Pipeworks give you an insight into the industrial side of the region's history, plus you can even don a hard hat and venture underground into a spooky brick built tar tunnel! You can also visit the Darby Houses and learn about the Quaker ironmasters, and browse the Museum of the Gorge.

All in all it's a massive day out and even then you're unlikely to fit it all in, so if you're passing through you'll have to pick and choose, but better is the annual ticket which for a tremendous bargain gives you unlimited access to al of them for 12 months. They're even so generous about it, they will give you a free trip the year after to anything on the list you failed to go to while the ticket was valid. Cool, huh!
