Hove Park features a number of sports pitches and facilities - these include a climbing boulder and adult play/gym equipment.

At the eastern edge of the Park is the ‘Fingermaze’, a piece of public sculpture carved into the park and lined with stone and lime mortar.

The Fingermaze is a giant fingerprint which incorporates a Cretan labyrinth within its whirling design.

Another of the park's unique attractions is its miniature steam railway, which runs during the summer weekends. You'll find the operating times on the information board near the café.

Hove Park's great claim to fame, the Goldstone, lies in its southwest corner. This huge rock, weighing about 20 tons, is commonly believed to have been used by the Druids for worship.

Legend has it that the devil threw it there while excavating Devil's Dyke, the deep valley through the Downs above Hove. Whatever the reality behind these legends, the shape of a human face is clearly visible in the stone - have a good look and you'll spot it.
