House of Marbles
About House of Marbles
Explore a history of glass and watch master craftsmen at work from the viewing platform inside the working glassworks on site. Look through the collection of board games, marble games and bagatelles from the early 1600s in the site’s games museum for a sense of nostalgia for mums, dad’s and grandparents.
Buy a new collection of marbles for children who can enjoy a renewed enthusiasm for the game of marbles. Press the buttons on the interactive marble runs and watch the marbles whoosh through the metal runs! Four can be found in the marble museum and the largest marble run on site 'Snookie 2000' can be seen covering one whole wall in the upstairs shop, using Snooker balls instead of marbles (hence its name). We suggest you bring a camera to capture the many twists and turns!
