Hope Nature Centre
We have many animals in our park, and not just your common chickens, which incidentally are full or character.
The Hope Nature Centre is home to some some very special rare breeds, such as our Alpacas and Hebridean Sheep.
We welcome all visitors to the Hope Nature Centre to visit our many animals. You can spend the afternoon walking around our parkland and learning about all the different animals we're home to as well as feeding some of them if you wish.
The Hope Nature Centre has it's very own restaurant, Squirrel's Tearoom. Set in the nature park's grounds, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee along with a cake at very reasonable prices. What's more if you want something more substantial we offer a full menu for you to choose from, be it a light lunch to a filling large breakfast, our menu is below and we have a specials board each day.
We have several acres of animal park set in the large country park which is open to the public to visit for a small donation. We've been working really hard over the last couple of years to develop the parkland into a fabulous facility for our visitors and local community.
The main attraction in our park are the many animals that we now have housed, these include Alpacas, Donkeys and Shetland ponies amongst the larger animals. We also have smaller animals such as Chickens, Geese and Rabbits along with a variety of Birds in the aviaries. The park pond is home to a family of Mallard ducks, so don't miss the opportunity to visit in spring as they're bound to have had ducklings.
In 2008 we were donated an Arboretum which was planted on the South side of our park. The trees are doing really well and in a few years time the hard work that went in planning all the tree species will really show off in a majestic display of nature's beauty.
Children will love to visit our Fairy Wood, where we have developed a number of mystical and fantasy area which will work their imaginations and playfulness.
We have several walks around our park on paths which lead you through to the animals, or maybe you'd prefer to sit down under our mighty oak tree and absorb the nature around you. We're sure that what ever you choose to do in our park you will enjoy your visit and return time after time.
If you've had fun on your family day out to Hope Nature Centre, tell us about it your visit, so other people will know it's a great place to go as well.
