There is lots to do and see on our farm including feeding the animals - sheep, goats , pigs, calves, and chickens; collecting and grading your own eggs; handling baby chicks; playing in the hay play area; visiting the farm shop or taking time to enjoy our nature trail.

We encourage our visitors to bring a picnic and stay as long as they like.

We also do organised group visits and children's birthday parties.

Tea Room - serving light lunches, delicious homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks. Also plenty of picnic benches and cold drinks,crisps,ice cream and sweets are available to buy from our shop.

All the lunches served in our tea room are very healthy! Freshly made sandwiches & kids lunch boxes (available on white or wholemeal bread), jacket potatoes and homemade soup of the day!

Free Range Eggs, fresh vegetables, fresh and frozen free range chicken and now fresh and frozen beef, lamb and pork,cakes, jams and chutneys. Farm related souvenirs and toys.

Excellent toilet facilities with disabled toilet and baby changing room.

We have a microwave for warming baby food

Highfields Farm is located in the village of Etwall near Derby, just off the A50, the main M1/M6 link. At the roundabout on the Derby side of Etwall turn onto Heage Lane (junction with Seven Wells Pub, signposted Radbourne). After ‚½ mile go under railway bridge, take second farm drive on the left & follow signs for Highfileds Happy Hens

Although our farm tracks are tarmaced it is a good idea to wear wellies if it has been raining so children can splash in any puddles and we are also buggy and wheel chair friendly. (except for the nature trail which is a field walk)
