Hastings Beach
Hastings Beach
It does have expanses of sand, especially at low tide, but for the most part it is made up of sea-smoothed pebbles.
If sea-bathing is what you're after then look no further than the seaside award-winning Pelham beach which offers lifeguard cover between May and September. Specially catered to families it has colourful character designated areas to help children (and parents) identify specific areas of the beach. With a diverse array of cafes, restaurants and attractions Hastings beach and seafront is fun for the whole family!
Deck-chairs are available for hire and beach patrols cover the area in season (May to September). Dogs are banned from the beach between the pier and the harbour arm. Don't forget to mind the red and yellow flag warnings and beware of incoming tides especially around the cliffs: check the tide tables information to be safe.
If you've had fun on your family day out to Hastings Beach, tell us about it your visit, so other people will know it's a great place to go as well.
