Hartlebury Castle and Museum

The County Museum at Hartlebury, housed in the former home of the Bishops of Worcester, is a fascinating place to explore.
In the museum galleries you can discover social history, toys through time, travel and transport and the intriguing story of Worcestershire's past.
Visitors can also see room sets such as the schoolroom and scullery, which are regularly brought to life by visiting school children and period rooms that focus on the Victorian and Civil War eras.

During the school holidays and half terms breaks activity days are held offering a range of fun family craft activities. A fantastic gift shop, cafe, picnic areas and nature reserve all add up to a great day out.

A fun, challenge filled treasure hunt for families to enjoy that will help you explore objects in the museum collection. The trails can be filled in during your visit, pick one up at the museum or download the trail pack.

The museum hosts temporary exhibitions, exciting events and arts and craft courses throughout the year, so there is always something new to see and do at Hartlebury.

Castle Kitchen Cafe serving a wide range of freshly made meals and snacks. Menu contains a variety of homemade dishes, light lunches and tempting cakes, using many local ingredients as well as organic and fair trade products. Picnic boxes and take away meals are also available for those who prefer to enjoy the picnic area in the Orchard 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday 11am to 5pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays Closed on Mondays and Good Friday

Our museum shop sells a wide range of quality cards, crafts and gifts to suit all pockets. With areas dedicated to home, garden, arts and toys there is sure to be something to suit everyone. The Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen have a permanent display and sales area in the museum shop. Displays change regularly and include jewellery, homeware, clothing and decorative pieces.
