Haredown Mountain Boarding Centre
Mountain boarding is the youngest and fastest growing sport to hit the hills and mountains around the UK. A mountain board looks like a scaled down snowboard with wheels in a range of styles and sizes.
Set in over 20 acres of rolling prime South Downs countryside, the site offers the kind of terrain boarders seek out – there are gentle grass slopes for beginners and courses and runs with steep drops and scary woodland sections ideal for intermediate and advanced boarders. To conserve energy for board riding we provide regular tractor/trailer rides to the top of the hill.
The Centre offers excellent opportunities for young and the young at heart to try this invigorating sport. The Centre supplies users with all the equipment needed. Similar to a ski school, lessons are provided to get everyone off to a safe start, beginning on the nursery slopes and progressing to the blue, red or (gulp!) black runs. It is incredibly easy to pick up and with an hour's lesson novices will be able to comfortably stop, turn and control their board before whizzing down the hill with a broad grin on their face!
The centre offers great opportunities for children's parties or grown up fun on superb South Downs terrain. We also have a wide range of excellent value party food packages that include picnic or BBQ options for children and adults at a price to suit you.
Through the summer there are various kids' activity camps running – check our website for details on these!
