Delve into the depths of the bowels of this iconic vessel, hear crew members' stories, climb your way up and down ladders and see the mess deck from what happened at the D-Day landing from the sailors who witnessed the troops approaching Juno Beach, where they were also to support British and Canadian forces heading to the beach. 

Put your best foot forward and become Captain of the ship when you take the helm in the Captain's chair. Remember to keep a lookout up on the flag deck and take in the amazing 360-degree views of London. If you fancy exploring the deepest, darkest areas, look at the boiler and engine rooms, 15ft below sea level!

The Gun Turret Experience - Feel the power and excitement as you step inside one of HMS Belfast's original gun turrets. With an immersive audio-visual experience, you'll understand the sights and sounds sailors would have encountered during battle. And how German forces cornered them.

The Operations Room is an interactive exhibit that allows kids to experience what it was like to be in charge of the original ship's operations. The kids can get hands-on, take on roles such as radar operators, and see how the crew communicates and navigates during missions. Then, venture below decks to explore the engine and boiler rooms. Kids can learn about the mechanics that powered this mighty ship and see the complex machinery up close. Did you know that the boiler rooms were given remote control, as they were not protected from biological, nuclear or chemical attack - remote control meant that they could continue running.

Don't forget the FREE activity trails that are the perfect excuse to explore the Town-class light cruiser. These trails are designed to engage kids with fun facts, challenges, and nautical puzzles as they explore HMS Belfast.
