Go Ape is a tree top adventure based in the heart of Whinlatter Forest Park, nr Keswick.

We take one lush, green forest and a healthy dollop of breathtaking scenery; blend with a smattering of tree-top high wires, tricky crossings and wind-in-your-face zip wires; finished off with a liberal dose of people in search of their inner Tarzan. The result is spectacular. The Go Ape experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s just great fun. We hope to see you swinging through the trees soon!

The on site cafe, Siskins Cafe is open 10am until 5pm during summer and 10am until 4pm during winter.

By Car
From Keswick, take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow the Visitor Centre Sign Posts.

By Public Transport

A bus service (number 77: Honister Ramblers) operates from Keswick bus station to Whinlatter Forest Visitors Centre 4 times a day.

Wear something you don't mind getting grubby and dress for the weather.

Whinlatter Forest Park is also a great place for walking, with many miles of gravel roads, paths and tracks to explore; including two children's trails:

ÂÂÕ Rabbit Run - 0.5 miles, 30 mins, easy - some steep sections.

ÂÂÕ Fox Trot Food Web - 0.75 miles, 45 mins, easy - some steep sections.
