You can row up to Dedham and park the rowing boat at a dedicated landing stage and go for a meal in the village of Dedham, stop for an ice cream or cup of tea and then have a row back allowing the gentle current to carry you back to your starting point at Flatford.

Alternatively you can row up river and stop for a picnic at the many beautiful picnic spots along the way.
