Faerie Glen

"what are we doing today?"

Faerie Glen
A bizarre and delightful miniature landscape of grassy, cone-shaped hills, the Faerie Glen is a beautiful and sweetly atmospheric spot guaranteed to tap into their imaginations.
Mostly dry, grassy walking.

Paths are faint but the exact route taken when exploring the glen doesn't matter. They say you should allow several hours so do pack for the weather and provide for little legs.
Visitors will need to turn right, off the main road from Portree, just before entering Uig. The strangely shaped, Tolkienesque hillocks are impossible to miss, as the road winds its way through the centre of the Faerie Glen. There is a stone circle, and a beautiful brook, which is a perfect spot to picnic in sunny weather.
