Ely Walking Spy Themed Trail

"what are we doing today?"

Ely Walking Spy Themed Trail

The magnificent Cathedral of Ely dominates the landscape and can be seen from miles away in all directions - not only because of its sheer size but also because Ely, until the 17th Century, was an island.

Find out more about the town's fascinating history through our trail. This Trail takes you to the best attractions in Ely and is a fantastic way to explore this beautiful historic town.
Treasure Trails are a great way to see the sights of a new town or village whilst enjoying a fun walk in the fresh air. Children love competing to solve the clues and don't even realise they are learning about the area and getting some exercise!
The answers to the clues are located on existing monuments, buildings and structures – some are easy to find, some are a little bit trickier! You can choose to solve a mystery, go on a treasure hunt or crack the code to save the world in a spy mission.
After you have completed the Trail you can enter your answer online to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize!

The Trail starts in the Fore Hill car park, off Broad Street, where up to 4 hours' free parking is available. It takes you around the best attractions of this beautiful historic town.

Ely Trail, as most of our trails, is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Please check our website for more details on individual trails.
