The understated Electric Mountain is The First Hydro Company's Visitor centre in Llanberis but home to so much more below the surface! Aside from the educational delights of learning about their awesome pumped storage generators there's also an underground tour, traverse walls and indoor adventure play zone! With the centre above and the adventure below you just can't go wrong!
Meeting at the centre, tour goers will board a custom bus to the Dinorwig Power Station itself, where you'll then descend deep inside the ancient Elidir mountain's dusky and labyrinthine tunnels to experience one of man's greatest modern engineering achievements!
Welcoming non claustrophobics and over 4s, you'll be fitted with Safety Helmets and accompanied by friendly expert guides throughout the Underground Tour to see secret sights that you'll never forget.
They can't accomdate under 4s due to the minimum helmet sizes, but kids of all ages up to 12 are welcome to The Den: a smart indoor play centre on the same site that will help keep non touring types happy and busy.
You'll also find a gift shop and cafe here too.
Touring rules to note include no flip flops, sandals or heeled shoes, plus arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before your tour time for getting your kit into lockers and getting ready to go.
