Dundonald International Ice Rink
Dundonald International Ice Bowl
Get your skates on and take to the ice rink for a literally cool day out! There's a special Saturday morning family session but public sessions are also available every day of the week with lively DJ sessions running throughout most peak sessions.
Their colony of sturdy Penguin Skating Aids are available to help boys and girls under 8 years (and under 4ft while wearing skates) to take their first steps out on the ice. They are available free of charge for youngsters but because it's a limited number they can't guarantee that everyone who asks will get one, so go early or be patient!
These guys have almost 30 years experience providing ice skating lessons and some of their pupils have become championship skaters, including famous Jenna McCorkell! Inspiring stuff! All of the ice skating courses consist of half hour sessions spread over a 6 week block, with your tuition provided by NISA qualified coaches. Courses cater for beginners and help skaters to progress from Grade 1 to Grade 10.
For younger skaters the Ice Tots scheme provides children from 3 to 4 years with the perfect foundations to support ice skating, gently but effectively teaching them the basic skills and techniques in a small group environment. It's again held as a 6 week course of 30 minute lessons.
For back up activities on the same site you can choose to become king of the lanes in the Xtreme Tenpin Bowling Centre or go wild for the adventure and excitement of Indiana Land play kingdom! Loads to choose from!
Dundonald International Ice Bowl is also home to some major mid week matches plus Christmas Skating Galas and a number of fun seasonal events, so use our link to see what's coming up!
