Dorman Museum
With ever changing exhibitions - 8 galleries and 3 exhibition spaces, there's something for everyone and plenty of hands-on activities, objects and children's trails.
It's quite small so its not a place for a whole day out but for a morning or afternoon its perfect. My eldest daughter is 3 and my twins are only 17 months but we all had a great time. There are permanent exhibitions, and temporary ones (currently 'From Pong to Kong' all about the rise of the gaming console - I loved it !) and there are small scientific interactive demos, such as aqueducts, pulley systems, gears and many others. Admission is free and there is a small amount of free parking right in front of the museum. There is a small gift shop, and a small café as well. - Lucy James / April 08
