The Dinosaur Museum in Dorchester is unique - it is Britain's only museum solely devoted to dinosaurs and their fascinating world.

Actual fossils, skeletons, and life-size dinosaur reconstructions combine with audio-visual, hands on, computer and CD-ROM displays to excite, enthral, and entertain the visitor. The Dinosaur Museum has been extensively featured on television and has become nationally famous for its innovative, adventurous and friendly approach. It was recently voted Dorset's Family Attraction of the Year.

This "museum" was one of the most disappointing places I had ever been to. I parted with £18 to walk around a very shonky old fashioned house with a few dinosaur bones and photo's in it. It was like viewing a private collectors stash and very very dated.

I have to agree with the previous comment we were so disappointed even my three year old who loves dinosaurs with a passion was bored – the only reason for this to be on “Day out with the Kids” is as a place to avoid at all costs!  Walk the kids round Dorchester town centre they’ll have more fun.
