There€™s action and adventure for big kids with our adrenaline pumping slides, pedal karts, bikes, our unique woodland adventure playground including a 3D maze and a 40ft Viewing Tower.

Storytime and soft play for the tiny ones.

Explore nature trails, go wildlife spotting or join one of our seasonal wildlife events. There’s even a designated dog walk where your canine friends can run free.

Tours and Events
Special events take place every day we’re open at Cream o Galloway.

Book places for the 1.30pm Ice Cream Experience to see into the factory and taste ten flavours of luxury ice cream. Or choose the Farm Tour at 2.45pm, a short walk around the farm to see the dairy cows come in for milking. Learn about our passion for animal welfare and discover how we minimise our environmental impact and encourage wildlife diversity. Finish with a delicious ice cream.

As well as our daily events we run special seasonal events. At Easter you can Meet the Lambs for a cuddle! In the summer, make your own ice cream from scratch in our Ready Steady Freeze event, and go Pond Dipping to search for mini-beasts living in our underwater wonderland.

Other than ice cream the most popular item on our tearoom menu has always been burgers, and not just any old burgers: Cream o Galloway burgers are hand made with beef from our own organic farm. We also serve venison burgers made from local wild venison and a deliciously spicy veggie burger. In addition we offer homemade soups, nachos and fabulous home baking. Children get a tempting choice of treats in the Kids Corner on the menu including a choice of Burgers, Pasta Dishes and Lunch Boxes. We aim to offer good wholesome meals and snacks using organic, local and fairtrade ingredients wherever possible. An outdoor sheltered picnic area is available.

Cream o Galloway dairy ice cream is simply natural€™. We are a nut-free factory and do not use any artificial colours or flavours in our ice cream. We try to keep a stock of dairy-free ice desserts and gluten free cake options. Our burgers are gluten free and the soups are always vegetarian. Nachos are wheat free.

As well as retailing our own ice cream, Cream o Galloway boasts a healthy Souvenir Shop, stocked with locally produced products including preserves, cheese, beer, greetings cards, framed photographs and walking sticks. We stock fairtrade gifts and toys, quality children’s games and books, wine and handmade soaps.

We pride ourselves on our clean and tidy toilets. Disabled facilities and Baby Changing tables are available. Should you forget to bring a nappy, we can provide you with one.

Milk-warming facilities are provided for parents to use in our Burger Barn. Should you wish to purchase food for your baby we have a selection of Hipp Organic Baby Food available.

From east or west on the A75, pass the first turn for Gatehouse of Fleet and then turn onto the ‘Sandgreen’ road. Follow this road for 1.5 miles then turn left at the sign for Carrick. Cream o’ Galloway is approximately half a mile along this road: you can’t miss us!

During peak times (Easter, Whitsun, Summer & October) we recommend you arrive early to get the best value out of your day. We also recommend trainers, long sleeves and long trousers â€" the play area is rustic and you’ll have more fun in old clothes. No sandals when riding bikes. Cream o’ Galloway is almost fully Wheelchair and Buggy accessible.
